Red

• Also known as Muladhara
• most dense colour
• slowest of all the wave lengths
• most stimulating colour
• pulls the retina forward so all our energy and attention is focused outward.
• it commands attention, which is why we have red for stop signs and traffic lights. (we could use red in our performance to ‘command’ the performance.)

Orange

• lower end of the visible light spectrum
• colour of vitality and strength
• located in the pelvic area, area of gut feelings and wisdom.

Yellow

• colour of sunshine
• personal power
• colour of youth, new beginnings, birth and rebirth.
• wise and knowledgeable

Green

• colour of love
• transforms your ego
• become more loving and compassionate
• heart center
• colour of growth, life and balance.

Blue

• associated with heaven
• pure, soothing, calming and healing
• peaceful, imagine lying on the ground looking up at a blue sky. How do you feel? (we could incorporate this in our performance.)

Indigo

• colour of wisdom
• also called royal blue
• third eye Chakra
• deep inner knowing
• colour we associate with night time
• bridge between heaven and earth

Violet

• crown Chakra colour
• colour of spirituality
• shortest wavelength
• highest vibration of the colours
• inner sense of wholeness
• peace and tranquility
• colour of magic

Each Chakra has an image for our performance we could paint the images creating a pattern of the Chakra colours. We could also use projection and have a voice over explaining the different Chakra’s.
